Actress and co-owner Preity Zinta turned a Punjab Kings jersey into the focal point of an off-field altercation in a scene that may rival any IPL thriller. It all began quite casually. As Zinta got ready to throw a Kings jersey into the stands, she captured the joy of the audience on camera. However, what started off as a happy gesture swiftly devolved into what one X user referred to as a “kalesh.”
Any sense of etiquette vanished as soon as the jersey was out of her grasp. In an attempt to seize the valuable jersey, fans jumped, fell, and even went to their knees. Eventually, a policeman had to intervene, but not before one of the fans almost punched another.
“Ghamasaan ek tshirt ke liye horha hai.” A t-shirt for Rs 100 is really nice. The man who was filming stated, “EK doosra ka murder karne ke liye taiyar hain.”
One of them remarked, “They purchased tickets for five to six thousand dollars, but they are fighting over the jersey like it is a wedding lehenga.” To be fair, I would battle for a Preity Zinta t-shirt as well. However, my sense of reason will prevent me from appearing insane,” another said.
